It’s time to challenge your general knowledge and morality at this new dive bar event.
La’go Liverpool has launched a new interactive quiz on Sunday nights hosted by Liverpool based entertainer, Mr Quiz.
A mixture of classic quizzing with horse racing and bingo thrown into the mix, this Colquitt Street bar has changed the game.
With no fee to take part and a unique atmosphere only found inside La’go, this quiz stands out from others in the area.
Competing teams could win bar merchandise epitomising the venue’s famous sense of humour that has made it so popular. The top prize up for grabs after being “Quizzed on” is cash.
This weekly event takes place at 7pm and comes with cheap drinks deals, good humour and is the new ritual to end your weekend.
Playbox is the striking city centre arcade that welcomes you with an eerie smile.
Back-to-back entrances on Bold Street and Concert Square force guests to walk through the smile of a grinning clown. However, the venue’s interior is a far cry from its Coulrophobia-inducing doors.
Ditching the typical funfair theme and block colours for an urban playground aesthetic, Playbox is an adult arcade and bar that takes guests through until 4am in the morning.
Dotted around the venue are gaming machines including “VR sniper”, “Daytona racing simulator”, air hockey and basketball tables with 12 playable in total, with more on the way. Consoles and under-table football equipment are also available for those wanting to take the weight off.
A fully stocked bar takes up a cosy corner of the venue with retro game-inspired cocktails like “pac – martini”, “smashed bandicoot” and “drunky kong”. If you feel peckish, there are also Detroit-style deep-pan pizzas.
The venue shifts from an adult playground to a full-fledged bar in the evening with DJs and live music taking partygoers right the way through until 4am, with all of the gaming machines fully functioning until closing.
Opening hours are Monday -Thursday, 5pm until 3am. Friday, 4pm until 4am. Saturday, 2pm until 4am. Sunday, 2pm until 3am.

New seating, lighting and bar areas will also be upgraded at a cost of hundreds of thousands of pounds.
Decky Farry, General Manager at Level said:
“Level’s refurb is pretty radical and we can’t wait for people to see the new look. Forget what you remember about the venue. We’re mixing up the floors, adding a load of new features we’re keeping under wraps till the opening, and introducing a new sound and light system- no one has anything like it! It’ll be spectacular! We’ve got some very special events lined up to relaunch the club this September. The best way to get early access to some nights you won’t want to miss is to sign up to the website for previews. Trust me you won’t want to miss out on this one!”
