Concert Square is located between Wood Street and Fleet Street in the Ropewalks area of Liverpool City Centre. The square continues to evolve and has been at heart of Liverpool’s nightlife for over 20 years.

The best nightclubs and bars in the city, and the North West of England, are in the area. Whether it’s a cocktail or pint, meal, booth booking or a cocktail class there’s something for everyone.

Concert Square – Complete nights out

A 2019 survey of university students in the UK found two Liverpool universities ranked amongst the top 5 for nightlife. Concert Square was cited as a factor for this!

Most of the bars and restaurants are open from 8am to 4am daily. You’ll find Bold Street at it’s doorstep as well as the Bold St area which is jam-packed with independent retailers, bars and restaurants. If you’re here for a stag or hen night, then look no further! Concert Square is centrally located and within short walking distance from the local hotels.

Try a cocktail masterclass at Brooklyn Mixer or Peacock or hire a pool table at Boston Pool Loft to start the night off.

Or, if you’re watching sports, there’s a host of venues screening all the live action, from McCooley’s to Yankees. If you want to try your hand at a few games too, try Boston Pool Loft or Einstein Bier Haus. Both have games areas too while away a few hours.

Nightclubs & Themed Bars

If nightclubs are your thing, then Fusion and Level are some of the largest and busiest in the city, opening till 6am if you have the stamina. The bars in this part of Liverpool are varied. There are German themed bars, Irish bars, sports, cocktail, shot and indie bars too.

Don’t be worried about the weather on Concert Square either! Head to 3 of the largest venues in the area including Einstein Bier HausSoho and Modo. These venues all have retractable covers and heaters for when you want to stay out but the weather is driving you in!
